"Our Neighbors In Need" Fundraising Concert"
WE NEED YOUR HELP! RELIGIOUS COALITION for Emergency Human Needs 2009 "Our Neighbors In Need" Fundraising Concert November 6, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
With so many in need, please help us with this outreach event to be held at the FCOB Church. This fundraising concert will be held on November 6th. The evening will be filled with beautiful and inspiring music from Lisa Fenstermacher, The Gospel Travelers, and of course the pride of FCOB, Living Water. If you're not familiar with Lisa or The Gospel Travelers, here's a little background info for you.

Lisa Fenstermacher: Lisa has built a solid foundation throughout the Mid-Atlantic area for her commitment and dedication to partnering with many non-profit and faith-based organizations, putting her music to work at numerous benefit concerts and outreach events. It is this awareness of social issues such as poverty and AIDS (along with the plight of orphaned children in Africa and Guatemala) that has informed her songwriting and music. "Pivot" became the canvas for songs that reflect the human experience with all the struggles, hopes and faith we each carry in our heart. Often accompanying herself on her Taylor 6-string acoustic guitar (and more recently with her Nashville Power Telecaster), Lisa's music crosses over generational, ethnic and denominational lines while a powerful combination of faith, grace and persistence continues to open doors and direct her steps. Music industry consultant David Bunker observed that Lisa's vocals are "reminiscent of Amy Grant" and likened her to "a female Rich Mullins" because of her authenticity and transparent way of communicating. The Gospel Trasvelers The history of The Gospel Travelers began 35 years ago as a vision and dream of two individuals who belonged to a small church in Frederick, Maryland. Their vision for the group was to travel around the area bringing God's message of love and salvation to as many people as possible through song. Since they had to travel a great deal to rehearsals and engagements, the name Gospel Travelers was born. That vision and dream is still the desire of the present members of the group. God has richly blessed and expanded the ministry of The Gospel Travelers over the years. As former members needed to leave the group, God always provided someone to fill the void. The men and women of The Gospel Travelers are dedicated and God-loving individuals that believe in using the talents that God has given them in the service of the Lord. Although none of the members are compensated for their time or talents, they all feel rewarded by the blessings of each performance, and the people that they meet on the road. The Gospel Travelers have brought their ministry of southern style music to many churches, nursing homes, festivals, revivals, reunions and restaurants. So far, there have been no bounds as to where the group will go. One favorite Scripture Verse of the group can be found in the Book of Psalms; Psalms 40:2 "He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God".
