Update On Crisis In Haiti

Church of the Brethren members ask:

“How can I help with the recovery in Haiti?”

The devastating earthquake in Haiti has touched everyone. The images broadcast have reached into our hearts and caused us to search for ways that we can be of assistance. Recovery will be long and painful. With such overwhelming destruction, loss of life, loss of homes, loss of structure, even a path to recovery is unclear. The thing that is clear is that God will lead the way; He will provide the materials, the people, the assistance that will restore lives, homes, marketplaces and infrastructure.

You can help through:

Prayer
Through individual prayer, prayer chains, and special prayer groups, prayers are heard. Prayer offers up our concerns to our Father; He listens and responds. We know that all things are possible through prayer when we allow our wants and
needs to be known. www.brethren.org/HaitiPrayers

Monetary Donation
At times a monetary donation is the best donation that may be made. Oftentimes following a disaster donations flood the affected area with the wrong materials and supplies. Huge stockpiles of items are never used; they are not the recovery
materials that are needed. At the same time, many needs go unmet due to lack of funds to acquire the necessary items. A monetary donation assures that the needed recovery materials may be obtained.
Help contribute to the effort in Haiti through a special donations page at .
