Parish Nursing

A Parish Nurse is an individual who has heard the calling of God to offer her gifts and skills to the church for the betterment and health of the entire Body of Christ.
A Parish Nurse is a member/participant in the life of our congregation who is a Registered Nurse with an active license.  This individual offers a whole range of services, on site in our building related to preventative health care.  Examples of services offered include:
  • blood pressure screenings
  • health education classes
  • client assessment surveys
  • personal health counseling
  • referrals to appropriate health delivery agencies and/or appropriate health care resources.
  • first aid and emergency aid, as required.
