Components:
The Harbor Place is an exciting Christ-centered children’s’ ministry program.  If you’re a kid at the Frederick Church of the Brethren, this is the place to be!  Everything we do in the Harbor Place is child-targeted because the children are the people we are trying to reach. The Harbor Place ministry team is comprised of adult and youth volunteers who have a heart and vision for children.  They serve with passion and joy because they believe that they are playing an important role in the lives of children and in helping our church achieve its God-given vision. 

Lifeboat (Infant to 4 years Old)
As children begin the navigation of life, the Lifeboat is a vessel provided by God to teach, care, and love the children of this ministry program. The Lifeboat symbolizes safety and security as children learn about God and Jesus through hands-on learning and developmentally appropriate activities. 

Lighthouse (K-Fifth Grade)
The Lighthouse is specially engineered to teach children in a high-energy, fun-filled, spiritual way.  This ministry program engages children in Bible study and worship experience and provides the opportunity to build key relationships with Christian adults and peers.  The Lighthouse symbolizes God’s everlasting light that shines bright while guiding, protecting, and strengthening us.  We find evidence of this in God’s Word in Psalm 18:28: “O Lord, you light my lamp.  My God turns my darkness into light;” and in Psalm 32:8: “I will make you wise and show you where to go.  I will guide you and watch over you.”
