Established in 1971, the Deaf Fellowship is reaching out and providing a practical, Christ-centered witness to the deaf community of Frederick and mid-Maryland. Our vision is simple: we will multiply the number of deaf people turning to Jesus Christ by multiplying the number of opportunities for spiritual growth and biblical outreach.

A "church within a church," the Deaf Fellowship maintains its sense of close community and cultural distinction, while cherishing its supportive partnership with the greater Frederick Church of the Brethren family.

Whether it's through visually-oriented worship, small-group participation, or loving fellowship, you'll experience, perhaps for the first time, the love and promise that Jesus Christ has... especially for you!
  • Living out a biblical model of "community," first by celebrating our unity in Jesus Christ, and then embracing our uniqueness as a Deaf community;

  • Participating in dynamic worship services conducted in American Sign Language and utilizing video technology for clearer understanding of God's Word;

  • Learning together through relevant, Bible-based teaching during Sunday morning Bible study;

  • Growing together through weekly small-group ministry opportunities;

  • Preparing our children and youth with an exciting ministry options for both our deaf and hearing family members;

  • Partnering with local, national, and international missionaries to reach the Deaf community for Christ.
