The Frederick Church of the Brethren is a dynamic congregation with deep roots in the Frederick, Maryland, community. Founded in 1880, our congregation began as an outreach effort of the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren in Monrovia, Maryland.

Our congregation has grown steadily to its current size of over 1,100 members of varied backgrounds and ages. It is now the largest congregation in the Church of the Brethren averaging over 800 persons in weekend worship.
Overall, our congregation is known for many things:
- Focused Statements of Values, Vision, and Mission. We are an intentional congregation, centered in Jesus Christ and His outreach to the world.
- Community Commitment. Our building is used 24/7 by a wide-range of community groups both for civic and humanitarian causes.
- A Wide Smorgasboard of Ministries and Activities. There is "something for everyone" in our dynamic and multifaceted congregation. From multiple worship services, with varied worship styles, to wide-ranging study and fellowship activities, to courageous mission endeavors -- our congregation offers many options to participate in the adventure of new life in Christ.
We invite you to consider all our congregation offers. As you do, it is our prayer you will sense: we are a "Place of Welcome," eager that your family become a part of our family!
